Erin and David are awesome. About a month ago I learned David was going to be proposing to her. I suggested I be there(because the world totally revolves around me doesn’t it?). I love being there to capture all those big moments in people’s lives. I think its a great gift. He sorta went with the idea and told me about how he was thinking of proposing. I thought it sounded awesome, although, is any proposal not awesome? In the end the girl does get the bling right? He wanted to do it at Maymont park in Richmond, Va. Which ended up being a really awesome park. I wish there were parks like that all over. Anyway, he wrote her a song(which he sang quite well) and wanted his guitar to be there as well. My only free weekend was today, 9/11 so today was the day. Which sort of works out. They have this odd thing about every time they look at the clock its 9/11. So the date was somewhat special for them. David lives here in Nc and I followed him up to the park this morning to scope out an awesome spot that I could hide in. We found one, it was perfect, right behind a hill so she wouldn’t see the guitar hanging out by it self until she was there. Great idea David! He left to go get her and I left to get lunch. I got back as he said they were leaving the house and layed out the blanket and the guitar and got it all ready for him. It took a bit longer to get there because apparently there was a Nascar race up in Richmond today. Those silly people. Finally they arrived!!

I absolutly LOVE this!!! Such a good idea on your part to go and capture it all. They will cherish it for sure. My favorite is Erins face when she found out you were there… PRICELESS!!! I am so happy for Erin and David. YAY I get a new brother -in- law!!!

Now that’s what I call engagement pictures! It must have been so much fun hiding out like a wildlife photographer to get those shots. I hope they get that set as a storyboard you can just feel things playing out through the series.
