About a month ago I put out a casting call for local soon to be mommies. Rachel was suggested to me and she was due super soon. I pitched her my idea and she wanted to do it. Which made me ecstatic. Super excited and nervous since I have never been in the same room as a person having a baby.
Rachel text me at 9:45 Sunday night the 29th saying her water broke. I immediately grabbed some snacks, water and gathered up my things to head to the hospital in Fayetteville, NC. As I got there she was having contractions and they were close to putting in an epidural. Soon after the epidural Rachel was feeling .. well she wasn’t feeling much which is great. Her labor progressed quite quicker than I had anticipated which isnt a bad thing at all.

A few weeks ago I went to San Diego to shoot an engagement session and here are a few of my favorites just rolling around town.

Some fishermen caught this off the Oceanside Pier. Still dont know what it was.
But apparently it was pregnant. They had cut slits in its belly and was throwing the babies over the pier. Odd.
Classy.

The next day I got to hang out with my friend Giselle. I hadn’t seen her since I shot her wedding last October. We went down to La Jolla cove and hung out. It was really neat. Its also where she got engaged at. :)

she was trying to make it past the boulder
