My goodness. These photos have been a long time coming. Alex and I went to high school together. She’s one of my best friends. When I take photos of friends, I like to include a few photos as as blast from the past.

This next photo always cracked me up. Alex is the tallest and I was the shortest. Shes in the salmon dress and I’m in the yellow if you couldn’t spot us.

Dressed up for Prom… at the mall.

The coolest art table folks there are.

Still my favorite photo of Kenny and myself (and Pete too!)

This might be their first photo together..

TOGA!

at my “white trash” themed going away party when I moved to NC. Alex seriously had the best outfit ever.

So through a mutual friend I met Kenny. I think it was at Swing right? Anyway, Kenny wasn’t down with that but he was down for hanging out at McGuire’s afterward. We became friends and we hung out all the time. He even took me out for my 21st and was there when I had my first alcoholic beverages. Soon after we met I introduced him to Alex and of course they hit it off. Made it official right around her 21st 5 months later. Boom. You can just call me matchmaker! So glad its worked out for these two. I seriously cant imagine these two with anyone else. About a year ago now Kenny called me up to talk about rings and I had no clue but I told him I would ask Alex’s opinion (obviously without her knowing I was talking to him) She sent me her thoughts on a ring and then I waited. I knew I had to wait til she had graduated from PA school. August came and went. WHERE WAS THAT RING KENNY!? Well, that’s what I was thinking anyway. Then I got the text a few days before Christmas and I was so excited! I’m still excited. Yay for Kenny and Alex! That mutual friend who introduced Kenny to me was getting married in California and they were both attending so it really seemed to be the best time for some REAL engagement photos of them. Back in 2010 they let me practice on them. We opted for sunrise instead of sunset at Balboa Park in San Diego. The day was beautiful and it was SO worth not having to fight crowds or heat.Seattle Wedding photographerseattle wedding photographywedding photographers in seattlewa wedding photographerWhoa! Chambers Bay photo session

I would like to introduce to you a fine couple getting married here in Washington in October. Meet Leiani and Michael. I met them at The Old General Store’s open house in Roy, Wa. That is where their wedding will be held. Remember my photos I took back in February of the space? I think it is right up their alley and a pretty perfect space to start their life together. But, lets talk about these photos on this blog! They suggested Chambers Bay to do their shots and I was super excited. I think Chambers Bay is a great spot for photos and there are SO MANY POSSIBILITIES its ridiculous. I was thrilled they choose that spot as I was wanting to try some off camera flash work. These two are like magic. They have some chemistry going on that I’ve never seen. I also think they had been studying posing for years. They were amazing. I barely had to ask them to do anything and if I did it was because I was tired of getting the same perfect pose, angle or whatever. They were awesome. CAN NOT WAIT til their wedding! Come on October!

I seriously can not wait until their October wedding. You two are the bomb.

If Michael and Leiani can get 25 comments they’ll get a 16×20 print in their choice of image! So tell them how much you love these photos!

Hmmm where to start.

Lynne and I went to high school together. We were/are friends. We played soccer and I think we played the same position (which meant she played and I sat the bench!) She even had me over for Christmas dinner in high school. THEN she dated my ex boyfriend and I was mad at her for a while. Something terrible happened and said boyfriend ( lets call him Drew) was in a car accident and didn’t make it. We became close again. Its strange how close death can make you feel towards someone else. She knows exactly how I feel about Drew and she feels the same I am sure. I think because of him we’ll always be close even if we dont talk that often, because of that link. That bond we have. Anyway, because Ive known her for T E N Y E A R S now! I figured I’d show a few old school Lynne and Hilary photos. Unfortunately I cant find any of my old albums to scan in pre 06 stuff from high school but there’s a few fun images from after 2006 I dug up. Oh, and in the photos there’s a few other beautiful ladies in the photos those are also Drew’s ex girlfriends. We’re all friends. LAHM.

Green was Drews favorite color.

This is us with Drew’s beautiful mama Esther.Ok ok. Now for the good stuff.

Ben and Lynne met at summer camp. They were both counselors. He is funny and she is very smart (I’m sure he’s smart too) I think they are a great pair together. Ben is going to school in North Carolina at South Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary and Lynne is a kindergarten teacher (and I cant imagine her doing anything else but teaching.) I would want her as Jack’s teacher cause I bet she’s awesome and comes up with all sorts of fun things to do. Since Ben is studying in NC it made sense for Lynne to come up to NC for photos since I was going to be there too. It also worked out pretty good in timing so I’m glad she could fly up. This was my first time meeting Ben and I like him. He made myself and Lynne laugh and he’s a lot taller than I anticipated. I like him. We started out at his college because well, it’s pretty.raleigh wedding photographyRaleigh engagement photography
