Rex is an adorable blonde haired blue eyed little man. He has an adorable older sister that doesn’t like her photo taken. Rex was not a fan of his birthday cake but I bet he loved his nautical themed birthday party. He turned one at the beginning of March and had his birthday party a few days later. Lots of friends came both young and old. Everyone loved playing outside on all the fun slides and hanging on the bars. They also enjoyed the YooHoos, pizza and cupcakes. Oh, and let’s not forget Rex’s yummy nautical themed cake.

Join Tacoma City Ballet for a fantastic Masquerade Ball Saturday, February 23rd at 7:30 PM. Tacoma City Ballet will decorate our gorgeous studio spaces and collaborate with artists of all types to create an evening to remember. Enjoy an evening with artists from the worlds of visual arts, literary arts, music, dance, and film.
The Jan Collum Ballroom will feature live music, literary readings, and dance performances by Tacoma City Ballet. Ancillary studio spaces will house a screening room for short films as well as artist installations. Join us for our Mid-Winter Masquerade Ball Soirée: an amazing evening of art immersion!

Sunday, March 6th, 2011Today started the beginning of the end of the deployment. We have been waiting it seems like forever for March to be here and it IS FINALLY HERE. With it being here that means that babies are going to start being born right and left. As a matter of fact one was born yesterday. So yay Congratulations to Nicole and Matt! Welcome to the world baby Cale!
The Air Force was nice enough to let those few soon to be dads(and already dads) with wives due in March come home first before the rest of the guys. Pretty much the only good thing the military has done good for us in a while. But thats a different story. They flew into the airport and let us be at the gate when the plane arrived. So go team USO for allowing that to be able to happen. Terminal 2 at RDU was the place to be today if you needed a good heart warming cry and everyone was thrilled that they were home the patriot guard was even there! Makes me quite excited for the weeks to come when everyone is home!

Melissa actually had her little girl in November and today was the first time her husband got to meet their little one.

His wife, Amanda(you might remember her maternity session a few months ago) isnt going to deliver the baby here in NC so she couldnt come up to see him. I wanted to get a few photos of him so she could see though :) He’ll be there soon Amanda!
Chifferobe: A Jazz Age Cabaret
Tuesday, March 1st, 2011Saturday after my baby shower I headed over to Durham, NC to get my dance on. For the past few months there have been dances and live bands at Cuban Revolution put on by a production company called Chifferobe. This week George Knott Square Trio performed. There was all kinda of awesome performances as well performed by Kristen Minsky & Kate Collins of The Cuban Revolution TropiGals. Dandy Wellington flew down from NY and he was an awesome MC. I feel like I should mention the real reason I was there as well. It was The Carolina Fascinators grand debut!! They did an awesome job and I was glad I got to see them from the start because I have a feeling they may be going places. Oh well, I feel like I just did a lot of name dropping so lets get to my favorite photos. Sound like a plan?
Ooh!! I didnt mention Joei Reed up above but she was there featuring some of her awesome fascinators!! Check her Etsy out- she does some pretty awesome stuff.
