goldsboro newborn photographyMy goodness. The last time you saw Elizabeth or Lizzie as everyone calls her she was only a few days old. She is now a one year old (though these photos were taken a few days before her birthday) and a cute as can be! I was so glad to get to see and visit with her family when I went back in North Carolina last week. It was so green out everywhere. Tacoma green and North Carolina green are two different things. Both are lovely though. Lizzie and her parents are good friends of mine and I miss them a lot. They’re also beautiful. They should be on a magazine cover somewhere!tacoma family photographyTacoma Family Photography

Barbara, I think you have a model baby on your hands.Happy Birthday Lizzie! So glad you and Jack could hang out while we were there!

This session was one of those sessions where you say “oh man! It’s lovely out! We should do photos today” you make plans, then the day sort of turns sour and rainy. They were still up for it though. So, just keep in mind there is a light sprinkle going on the whole time. I think despite the rain we got some great photos but I am still up for another mini session right before Ken leaves. :) As long as it’s a little more dry.

5 seconds later she was fine

Then we met up a few weeks later when it wasnt raining.

I offer a few OPLove type pre deployment sessions a month. If you’re interested in something here at JBLM please dont hesitate to contact me. hilary@hilarymercer.com

This part of Washington is FULL of military. Samantha and her family are one of the many EOD families that had a deployment coming up. She has also become one of my good friends since we have made the move cross country. So when she asked if I could take these important images I was thrilled and nervous seeing as how Samantha is also a photographer. She has the most adorable little guys and a husband that doesn’t like taking photos. Though, I don’t know why Travis… I think you look great. I know Samantha does too.

His face here cracks me up. There is a happy child.

BOOM! Samantha is hot!Samantha, this deployment will hopefully fly by. You know you’ve got us if you need us. Travis, I’d say the same but I’m no good at sending packages. ;)

I love when I get to see babies grow up. It is definitely one of my favorite things about this job.

I think the first time I met Cassie she was a little over a year old. Here was the first time I saw her:

And of course little Ben the first time I saw him back in February…

Their mom had some awesome plans for this photo session which mainly involved his adorable older sister Cassie. They had a tea party on their front lawn. I think Cassie definitely ate her share in lemon cookies.

A little over a week ago I got to spend some time with a cute couple and their pups. Lucy is their new baby and they wanted to document her puppyness. :)
