Erin and Brandon are so sweet and I couldnt be happier for them having a baby. I met up with them a few weeks ago and Erin was 36 weeks. She’s now more pregnant than I was when I had little Jack. They got pregnant only two weeks after I shot their wedding in October! So if you follow the blog a lot you might recognize them. Little Sophia is expected to make her entrance into the world at the beginning of August. Though they think it would be funny if she actually went into labor tomorrow exactly 9 months since they were wed.  We met up at The Leaning Tree for their session. Their wedding reception was held there but we did all of the formals at the ceremony site so I thought it may be nice to do some photos there. It was a beautiful but hot day. Erin was a trooper in the heat.. well actually we were all troopers even Jack tagged along on this one ;)20110705-DSC_131820110705-DSC_132820110705-DSC_133420110705-DSC_133720110705-DSC_135520110705-DSC_136120110705-DSC_138320110705-DSC_139320110705-DSC_140020110705-DSC_140320110705-DSC_142220110705-DSC_142320110705-DSC_142520110705-DSC_143520110705-DSC_145220110705-DSC_146120110705-DSC_146320110705-DSC_148220110705-DSC_1483Yay you two! I cant wait to hear the news of Sophia’s birth!

Hilary & Neil + a baby bump

Friday, May 13th, 2011

Wait.. I know what youre thinking. “Isnt Neil your husbands name?” And of course.. it is. And to be honest, I did even shoot these photos. Ok.. well I did a few that I wasnt in but one of my talented friends Leslie Faircloth did shoot them for me.. on my camera. So, instead of no one ever getting to see them but us I figured Id post a little bloggy blogg to share the love. This is actually her grannies land and she and her family were nice enough to let me have a few sessions out there last summer. I instantly fell in love with this tree and thought it would be nice for when I got pregnant to get some shots out there too. So… Leslie to the rescue. She was nice enough to meet us for these shots and it was a lot of fun. I really enjoy being in front of the camera as well as behind it. Neil on the other hand.. not so much but he IS such a good sport about it.20110328-DSC_7761See.. isnt this tree the bomb.com?20110328-DSC_777420110328-DSC_7817I was 34 weeks pregnant. Who knew we would have baby Jack two weeks later!?20110328-DSC_782320110328-DSC_783420110328-DSC_7835One thing Neil and I do well is jumping. Another is asianposes.

Leslie, youre awesome for coming out and taking our photos even though you really didnt know what you were doing. We appreciate it all the same.

Youre awesome.

Neil, not that you ever really read my blog unless I tell you you should go see something. Youre an awesome husband and I totally love that youre supportive of me with my photography wether it be in front of the lens or just talking about it.

Youre awesome too.

Amanda is a gorgeous Mama!

Sunday, January 16th, 2011

Last week I got an email from Amanda.  She was in town for a few days and decided she wanted maternity photos. I was thrilled. I had been wanting to go out and have a session with someone for a while. She was also game for whatever. We decided to do it on a day that is was supposed to snow. I think everyone BUT the Triangle got a few inches of snow. Which is sad because I was really looking forward to a snowy session! The weather sure was cold out. She was a trooper for a Florida girl :)20110110-DSC_2578

She has ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS eyes!DSC_2605 copy20110110-DSC_2598

She was a bit nervous and sad about not having her husband there for the photos. He is deployed with my husband and will be back soon. I’m hoping he gets to make it home before their baby boy is born. I sure am excited to meet that little bundle of cute.20110110-DSC_262220110110-DSC_265620110110-DSC_266320110110-DSC_268620110110-DSC_269320110110-DSC_2581

Megan’s sweet baby bump!

Friday, December 17th, 2010

Last week my friend drove up here from Georgia to have her photos taken! She is going to have her first baby and he is a boy! I was super stoked when she asked me about her maternity and newborn shots. Megan is so cute how could I N O T want to have fun sessions with her! I hadnt actually got to see her since she’s been pregnant. She’s SOOOOO CUTE! Her husband  Charlie and his son Xander also joined us :)DSC_3349DSC_3364DSC_3367DSC_3381DSC_3399

So at this point in time I had Charlie pose Megan .. and he came up with this .. pose. I think ill try this with all my baby mamas!DSC_3435DSC_3479Then Xander got his camera time. Its not that often I get to have sessions with older kiddos. So it was definitely a learning experiance. Xander also does not like to look at the camera. It was uncanny how he could look everywhere else but at me. Ive never had that happen and when he would smile he would move his face down. So he definitely cut my work out for me. In the end I think I did get a few good shots where he was actually looking at me :)DSC_3503He has super awesome eyes! These are barely edited.DSC_3512DSC_3561Im sure he was trying to give me some terrible faces at this point but I absolutely love this one. He just looks happy. :)DSC_3562 copyDSC_3597DSC_3617DSC_3638 copyDSC_3661DSC_3679DSC_3731DSC_3748

They are naming him Jack Danger! What an awesome name!DSC_3750DSC_3813I am so excited to meet your little one in February!!!

Kaitlin is a photographer so when she asked me to take her photos I was quite excited and nervous as the occasion doesn’t happen that often in front of the camera or behind and I know that. Also being pregnant myself, I like talking about babies and pregnancy and just being around mommas in general. I was excited to see her belly and see how much it had grown since I met up with her in August.  Kaitlin had a few ideas she threw out and I was excited. She waited so long to take her photos because she still didnt feel as if she was big enough for them yet but she was due in a week. I just said SHE a lot, goodness! We decided on a sunrise session in a field she just had to find one since im not too too close to Wake Forest. Well she did and it looked AWESOME on the frigid morning we chose. Seriously it was like 34 degrees out and Kaitlin is in a lace jacket with no socks! I wish Id had them take a photo of me as I was toasty- puffer jacket, gloves, hat and boots. Oh well it was worth it! It looked so magical and gorgeous. DSC_1950DSC_1956DSC_1969

Thomas is quite a bit taller than KaitlinDSC_1986 copyDSC_2017DSC_2024DSC_2037

Oh Kaitlin, youre so very pretty. Im jealous of your babies eyes.DSC_2054DSC_2079DSC_2097

I will be quite excited to meet your little one should he or she ever make an appearance! Thanks for this awesome session, you two are awesome!DSC_2110
