20110315-DSC_6812Neils home! He got home VERY late Tuesday night. And I am so super glad he’s back. These first few photos are from that night. I tried not to have my camera out all night and instead try and enjoy the moment rather than capture it. Especially since I had friends Autumn of Reminiscing Moments Photography and Shallyse of Shadeleaf Studios there to document the event for me. Those two ladies are AWESOME and we are so glad they were there for us. Thank you both again!20110315-DSC_682220110315-DSC_682620110315-DSC_682820110315-DSC_683020110315-DSC_683520110315-DSC_683720110315-DSC_683920110315-DSC_684320110316-DSC_6853

This next one is my favorite from the whole night. Terry getting to see Barb’s baby belly for the first time in real life. So sweet. I am so excited for them!20110316-DSC_6861 copy

For more from our homecoming check out Autumn’s blog about it here! She got some pretty awesome shots as well!

The next day more folks came in. They came in a bit different, they were actually flying the F-15E’s back instead of taking a heavy back. Neil was supposed to fly a jet back and decided against it incase something happened and they got stuck somewhere. He didnt want to miss little Jack’s birth and I agreed but after taking these photos I’m a bit sad he didnt fly home in a jet. Oh well, there’s always next time. I followed my friend Charlotte around for her big reunion with her fiance Colin. They are due to get married this fall and now they can REALLY start the planning! If youre a local in Raleigh you may recognize her from the news. She is a news anchor for NBC in Raleigh.20110316-DSC_6894

Like me with my camera, its hard to break away from what you do. I loved that she was interviewing everyone.20110316-DSC_6914

Emily is due on the same day as me (May 8th!) and she got to see her husband today too!20110316-DSC_6921

This is one of the signs that was in the hallways. A few weeks ago we had a squadron decorating party and the kids got to have a little fun too. This was one of my favorite signs. I liked how some of the kids got all official too and some of the signs read “Welcome Home Brian!” vs. Welcome home daddy! So cute.20110316-DSC_723320110316-DSC_7227

Road Trip | Gatlinburg, Tn

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010

The weekend before Thanksgiving a few photographer friends and myself met up in Gatlinburg for some post wedding season R&R and hanging out fun times. Plus it was really nice to see everyone again. The last time we saw each other was when we were all roomies in Vegas for WPPI. I drove in and got some fun shots as I seemed to be going up a hill for, forever!DSC_2198DSC_2221DSC_2225The next day we ventured around Gatlinburg. We took the skilift to the top so we could have a better view.DSC_2248DSC_2250DSC_2253DSC_2295What else would 5 photographers do with their time? Take photos of eachother!DSC_2320DSC_2335DSC_2344DSC_2381

Exciting News!

Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010

I just realized I haven’t let any of my readers know whats going on in my life and why Ive been so busy and tired! Well you should head on over to my personal blog to find out whats up!

Concord Massachusetts!

Friday, October 1st, 2010

About a month ago I was lucky enough to attend a light workshop in Concord, MA and I did some exploration before and after the workshop. Most of my exploration had to do with finding geocaches. I ended up getting a few and I got to see a lot of random things I would have never thought about seeing. When I landed I went straight to Concord instead of seeing Boston. One of the places at the top of my list was the famous bridge Paul Revere went over in the famous story of Paul Revere.-6929-6936-6949-6958For the first part of the cache I had to get a photo with the bridge.. which I wasnt a fan of and for the second part I had to get a photo of where PR was caught at. It was quite far away from the bridge. They must have been walking or something. Here is me.. being sad he was caught all those year ago.

-6960The day after the workshop I got up SUPER early so I could see the sunrise. I went to Walden Pond. Apparently there’s a book written about it. While I was there I had a little one on one time with Henry David Thorough. He wrote Walden Pond. We tried to find the cache together but we couldnt.-7128-7091It wasnt THAT impressive. What was impressive was the T O N S of people swimming at the crack of dawn. All the way across and back!-7143I got a little turned around and went down this road and the sunlight was absolutely stunning. Such a pretty morning! From there I decided to get closer to the airport. I found a cool beach where you could watch the airplanes go overhead. It was neat.-7154There was a cache at the airport so before I went inside I found this cool park with this cool mural.-7181
