Erin and Brandon are so sweet and I couldnt be happier for them having a baby. I met up with them a few weeks ago and Erin was 36 weeks. She’s now more pregnant than I was when I had little Jack. They got pregnant only two weeks after I shot their wedding in October! So if you follow the blog a lot you might recognize them. Little Sophia is expected to make her entrance into the world at the beginning of August. Though they think it would be funny if she actually went into labor tomorrow exactly 9 months since they were wed. We met up at The Leaning Tree for their session. Their wedding reception was held there but we did all of the formals at the ceremony site so I thought it may be nice to do some photos there. It was a beautiful but hot day. Erin was a trooper in the heat.. well actually we were all troopers even Jack tagged along on this one ;)

Yay you two! I cant wait to hear the news of Sophia’s birth!

Sunday, June 5th, 2011a family so sweet bees were hanging all around them.
Autumn has been at all my major life events over the past 4 months. And surprisingly enough there have been a lot of them. My husband coming home from war, me being el preggo, giving birth and then she was there to help document Jack’s life out of the hospital. Neil and I are so fortunate to have had her there. She has given us something completely priceless. So, I FINALLY got to repay her.. well with what I could. Shes not pregnant or giving birth but I could give her a family session. I think we tried to get together for a month and it would either rain or her little one just wasn’t feeling it. Well, last week it finally happened and not 10 minutes in and we had B O T H been stung by bees.

immunnaeatchooooo!
after they were “done eating Lana” .. I said something like ” I couldn’t have eaten her better myself.” They thought it was pretty funny. ;)

She kept saying their were bees around.. who knew a few minutes later we’d be stung. I should have surrendered my camera to the bees- cause that one bee REALLY wanted it.

this is love right here.

bee sting and location change

how fun it must be to be a kid. i wish I could do this. i also wish i had a photo of me doing this as a kid.

then started the awesome game of “lets keep the toddler out of the road”
found a tick and then called it a day. what is it with NC and ticks! My goodness!

the G ladies | goldsboro family photographer
Wednesday, May 11th, 2011This little family is quite near and dear to my heart for lots of various reasons I wont get into. But one of them is that they were my first “official session ever.” I met up with the girls when they were around 3 months old (that was the earliest I could get to them due to them being so tiny) and boy was I new to photography! I learned a lot that session- one being that I need to always insist to get at least a few family shots of everyone even if its just their faces.
a year and some change later I met up with them again, they had grown quite a bit but still as cute as ever.
Today they started a new chapter in their lives and moved back home to Minnesota- like seriously they are there right now! But before they left we made sure to get in one more session. Im glad it happened. We had scheduled something the weekend before I popped out Jack and it rained then I had the kid and you know how that goes. So when I happened to find this SUPER SWEET field of flowers I suggested we try again. And what do you know the day we planned for- it rained. BAH to the weather thats what I have to say. On another note did you know that in NC it is actually illegal to go traipsing through these fields of flowers and its also illegal to pick them. Well, we have some fugitives on our hands so I’m glad you ladies got out of the state while you could. ;)
May these super cute Barbie sunglasses rest in peace. We lost them in the field.

While Eva was playing paddycakes with her mama..

Stella wanted to play with me :) Which is quite hard with a camera.
FAVORITE! Like seriously, this is love right here.

love these hugs!
the best I could get for everyone looking at me.

PEEKaBOO!
“awe mom really? do I have to?”

ps: none of the eyes in ANY of these photos were edited to look more awesome. these ladies just have A M A Z I N G eyes.
I brought out two of my suitcases cause it seemed fitting that they were moving and all. Plus.. I love me some bright colored props!
They dragged these silly suitcases all over that field waving “bye” the whole time!
still not sure where they thought they were off to…

for some reason my usual favorite family photo is ALWAYS families walking away- holding hands. I love it!
these next two were for mom. She said, “well we might as well get a photo of all the things that arent moving!” I agree it was much easier to photograph these two photos. Toddlers sure do know how to not pay attention and how to move all around making my job really hard. They are fun, but definitely a work out.
then the girls went into melt down mode.
and I think this was the best photo of the two little ones I got. Still adorable even though they are miserable.
Angie- I hope you know how much Neil and I love you and the girls. You’ll always have a place in our hearts AND our homes. So if you ever need anything dont hesitate to ask.
Hawaii 2012! Lets do this. :)

There’s a new baby girl in town and she is a doll. I had the joy of getting to spend a few hours with her last week and she was an absolute dream to photograph. She is practically perfect in every way.

I absolutely loved this fascinator her Mom bought for her. :) So sweet!

What a gorgeous family you have!

awe… that little smile!

Congratulations you three. You are all lucky to have each other.
Charlotte = Charlie = A super cute Six month old
Monday, February 7th, 2011Thats right. Charlie is 6 months old!! Do you remember her? Last time we saw her she looked like this:
And now she looks like this!
She’s not quite sitting up on her own yet, she has a cute little lean cause she’s still squishy.
While editing this session I kept listening to Perry Como’s You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby o v e r and o v e r.
Every time her mama would give her a kiss she would close her eyes real tight. SO CUTE!
I dont call it a Lifestyle session for nothing. I do capture life too, not just happy smiles. :) Poor Mom.

That blanket under her was her daddies blanket from when he was younger.
