Last week I had the opportunity to photograph some lovely people with a group of local photographers. It was nice to be able to FINALLY put faces with the names and it was nice to do some “Hilary” shooting. A lot of wedding photography is flying by the seat of your pants cause you never know what will happen next. I was able to bust out some off camera flash and try some new things and I think for the most part I definitely enjoyed it way more than natural light (that is.. until “the magic hour” which is ALWAYS good.) Josh and Amanda were my last couple of the day. When I first saw Josh with his plugs and both of them with nose rings I knew I was going to like them. Sadly they took the nose jewelry out but Josh got to keep his rad plugs. They’re only dating but have been together 2 years and I think they really like each other.
Also, I just realized I didnt blog any of the sweet detail shots I got that all the photographer set up. They’ll be along in this post too which is going to make this my longest blog ever!
Yes, they are in the most rad tree house there ever was!
This first cake was made by Kelsy Valentine.
The second cake (was so tasty!) and was made by Lisa B’s Sweet Shop.
Then the light got all dreamy on us and there was only one couple left and we made what we could with the soft, lovely light out.
