Todd and Sarah are getting married in Bailey, NC this coming June. I met with them this weekend for a fun engagement session. We met up at a local antique store with a ton of pricey merchandise. Like seriously, the cheapest thing we saw was around $750ish. CRAZY. But if youre ever in the area you should definitely take a looksie loo, Boone’s Antiques.

I dont know how all of these gorgeous brides with crazy awesome bling in their fingers keep finding me, but I love it!

Oh I cant wait until their next engagement session in April and then their wedding in June at the Leaning Tree. Its going to be a good time.
Tacoma Wedding Photographer | Sarah & Todd ARE GETTING MARRIED!
Tuesday, February 15th, 2011The Happiest Place on Earth | Lindy Focus!
Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011Every year something magical happens right after Christmas. Its a dance event called Lindy Focus and it is pretty amazing. Some of the best dancers from all over join in on the fun and there are 5 days of pretty much NON STOP DANCING. :) This was my third year attending and my first as one of the “official photographers.” I worked alongside with the quite talented Bobby Bonsey. I think we make a pretty good team and I really enjoyed working with him. :)
Ok, now on to the photo goodies. OH and also, if there is a link above the photo thats the link to the dance that was being photographed, so go check it out. Dave Braverman did an awesome job with the videos. :)
Lets start with Mike Roberts and Laura Glaess. They are two of the most attractive dancers Ive ever seen in my life. When they dance they show so much emotion. I could watch them all day. Want to watch them? Go here

How could I have picked favorites without Sharon Davis being in them. Here she is getting her dance on.

Here is one of my favorites from the entire event. I love that Terrace. He was one of the first dancers I was ever ‘in awe over.’ I first saw him 4 years ago at a dance event and he was awesome. Since then we’ve become friends and im far from nervous to dance with him. Its a pretty good feeling. Im sure thats why this is one of my favorites because were friends and I got some sweet flare and everyone is so happy. It makes for a fantastic shot.. Plus I mean.. not everyone can dance blindfolded.

Its rare someone captures a good photo of me dancing with my own camera. So, thanks to whoever picked my camera up.
Andrew and Karen always have awesome routines!

The guy there on the left is the other photographer :)

The Charleston competition is worth the watch!

I love everyones faces.

and last but not least,
I love how Neil finally decides to grab my camera to take photos of me taking my equipment down.. instead of helping out. Ahhh men.
Anyway, arent you sad you werent there? It was seriously an awesome time. I seemed to have a difficult time this year. There were a TON of folks Id never met and typically I try and get photos of everyone. But this year.. there were just too many people to get everyone. Im glad I had Bobby there because that way we could ‘share the load.’ So, if youre not in any of the photographs I apologize. Come and see me at ATLX8. ;)
Jaya, Michael and Sosh know how to throw a party. Thank you all so much for having me along as a photographer this year, I loved doing it. :) You three are thebomb.com
Lots of folks have emailed me about purchasing prints. Well, GO HERE.
Will + Gabby
Monday, January 24th, 2011Gabby and Will moved to Texas a few days after we took these photos. They wanted a fun session before they left and I was happy to oblige. We met up at their favorite book store, Pauper’s Books in Clayton( Which has become my favorite book store since then) first and then finished near Will’s families land here in Selma. It was a fun time. I hope you two enjoy Texas!
Will being a creeper…

So they totally did this on their own. How cute are they!?

Raleigh Wedding Photographers | One Eleven Place | Brian and Jessica | The Wedding!
Tuesday, January 11th, 2011Jessica and Brian were my last wedded couple of 2010. From what Ive learned of them over the past few months they are two of the sweetest people ever. Its funny I always learn a T O N about my couples at the wedding and this wedding was no different. Usually its from speeches at the reception and from the bridesmaids. This wedding was no different. I went away feeling a little closer to both the bride and the groom. You two were absolutely amazing to work with.
Youre awesome. Your wedding was awesome and I hope the rest of your lives together is just as awesome as you two are!
The rings. Typically I have issues with rings. They never work out how I want them but I think I did a fairly sweet job. Although, Autumn did the one on the right and top. :) Hello sweet teamwork!

Purple heels!

At some weddings I wonder where the bridesmaids are? Which shouldn’t happen they are there for you right? Brides need help. These bridesmaids were there. THE WHOLE TIME. It wasnt about them. It was all about Jessica and I really like that. Jessica, you have great friends.

This photos is top on my list for favorites of the day. It reminds me of the beginning of Cinderella when the birdies are helping her get dressed.
Autumn snapped this one. I love it too.

They opted for a first look since they had to sign the ketubah beforehand anyway. I really cant say enough how big a difference having a first look makes. Its precious time youll never get back and it is awesome.

Autumn, my second shooter was my official poser. She did a fantastic job and it made it to where I didnt have resort back to the “typical” poses in my head. So, Thank you Autumn.

AND they are married! yippee!

Autumn is the master of the upclose shot.

Limes. I absolutely love limes. I think every wedding should feature natural details along with man made. Plus limes are beautiful!

So, when I first saw these I thought ‘that cant be what I think it is’ and holy goodness IT WAS MILK AND COOKIES.
HELLO BEST IDEA EVER!

Brian and Jessica really got to enjoy themselves at the wedding. Thats pretty rare actually for brides and grooms to have time to dance, alot.

Halfway through I realized we didnt have any photos of the bride and the bouquet yet. So Jessica braved her feet getting frozen for a few minutes outside with us.

How pretty is that bouquet?
Alright you two, seriously I wasnt kidding when I say how awesome you two are. I so very much enjoyed being a part of your day. Thank you for having me be part of it.

Jessica and Brian! | Sneak Peek
Sunday, January 2nd, 2011I rushed off to catch a plane right after photographing Jessica and Brian’s wedding in Cary, Nc so I wasnt able to get a sneak peek up until now. Their wedding was gorgeous and it was an awesome day despite the cold. I hope you two got warm and had an awesome honeymoon in Antigua! More will be up shortly.

Autumn, my second shooter got this sweet one. I love it!
