The Inn at Port Ludlow was the perfect backdrop for a wedding I helped photograph in September. The weather was amazing. The couple was amazing and so in love. There was love in the air everywhere. The clouds were pretty awesome too. Seriously, how sweet is that first shot?!The couple opted to see each other for a first look and the groom was so sweet. I love seeing a love like that.For those of you that Geocache. Sadie and I had a little free time and there is TOTALLY a cache near that amazeballs tree. :)

These two. I like them. I met them at the venue they had booked at an open house at their wedding venue at The Old General Store in Roy, Wa. As soon as I saw them walk in I REALLY hoped they didn’t have a photographer. I mean.. Leiani was wearing my brand colors, she was flaunting that mustard yellow all over the place. It was seriously meant to be. Luckily they were the only couple that had come in that didn’t already have a photographer booked. Fate I tell ya. Fate.

They booked.. well obviously or you wouldn’t be seeing these awesome images. We met up and shot their engagement session. You might remember the epic shots I took of them at Chambers Bay last May?

It was forecast to rain on their wedding day. But.. the way I look at it is.. “uhh duh, its Washington, isn’t it supposed to rain every day?” (well that’s what this Florida girl thinks anyway!) Luckily enough it only rained a teensy eensy bit. But.. you’re not here to read what I’m writing so go and see how good they look together!Oh and here’s a few more photos if you’re curious. :) Wait for the end and some super awesome dancing at the reception. Oh and PS: I know the video isnt.. the best but I just loved all the dancing and did what this little amateur could.

A few weeks ago one of my best friends got married. Other than Neil he is my only male best friend. He married Annabel in Breckenridge, Colorado and it was lovely. Fortunately for me they also hired one of my friends to be their wedding photographer, Jess Keener. She was totally cool with my joining in on the more fun part of the day ie: prime time couple time. TOTALLY the best part of every wedding and its so sad when people only allot 5 minutes for photos of them all alone with no wedding party. Anyway, we started the day with Annabel. I loved her dress and her veil and her slip (not shown but its her “something blue”) and her shoes. Everything was adorable. Oh I loved her bouquet too. So earthy and beautiful.Sadly enough we didnt have much time for “groomals’ which I know Michael was looking forward to but I did get this one of his smiling face right before their first look.

They got married and then we headed to the reception where they danced. Michael and Annabel are also lindy hoppers (quite talented ones too.) so you know the dancing is good.

Then we took off again for some sweet photos in the golden hours. We ended up taking a LOT longer than anticipated but look at the AWESOME shots we have to show for it!

I am so happy for you two. I wish many years for you two and Annabel, if you ever need anything just let me know. I’m here for ya. I know how it is being married to the military. Its hard work.

A few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to be asked to second shoot with Sadie Williams Photography. It was a beautiful, sunny and somewhat cool day here in Washington. A lovely day to be near the water which worked out since the wedding was at the Edmonds Yacht Club.You have no idea how hard that last shot of the flower girl was. She R E A L L Y made me work for it.then some nice folks let us onto the marina with all the awesome boats

Laura and Tyler got married in one of the most gorgeous locations I have shot at. It was at a little spot called Wandering Waters up near Mount Baker. Their whole day was fun and unique. Their wedding day was perfect too, not too hot not too cold. It didn’t rain and it was sunny AND overcast at times. Just a normal manic depressive pacific northwest day. I shot this wedding alongside Gini of Visions of Romance. I knew it was going to be a good day when the day started out with beers (from a mason jar!) and 2 kegs. Everyone was so chill chill and hilarious. It was seriously an awesome day all around.They opted for a first look and I just love when couples do that. It really frees up so much time and look at all these sweet images of them.
