Hannah and Peter found me through very unusual circumstances, Twitter. Her best friend Rachelle sent out a tweet trying to find someone available for the weekend after Thanksgiving and I happily replied. They got married at a cute little spot in Lacey, Washington - The Jacob Smith House. Its a cute little spot and is apparently one of the oldest buildings in all of Thurston County. It was the perfect setting for their wedding. Hannah really loves Peter. So much in fact that shes going to have his baby in April. So as you’re looking at these photos make sure you think “dang! that girl looks good!” Because she does. She is rocking that wedding dress. Hannah is a hottie. Peter likes beer and lasagne. He brewed three different types of beer for the wedding AND rootbeer. I think I drank more of that rootbeer than the kids did. It was scrummy. Peter sent me home with a bottle of his “I Do Brew” and my husband said it was quite scrummy as well. . When I first met with the lovebirds they were afraid of the rain. To be honest I was too and still am, definitely something I am going to have to get used to living in Washington. All the same, it was awesome out. Well, the sun wasnt out but there wasnt any rain and I liked the overcast skies. It was a bit chilly though.

Isnt her dress the bomb?

Also, as she was putting on her shoes she said “who says you cant find wedding shoes at Costco?” It made me laugh. Cute and comfy.macro ring shots

Back in October I was lucky enough to assist the lovely and talented Sarah Der with a fantastically awesome wedding. Michelle and Brandon and their wedding party couldnt have been more fun and exciting. I mean, they allotted almost 2 hours before the ceremony had even started for photos. .. I know every photographers dream right? But seriously, it was an awesome time and we were done well before it was time for the guests to arrive and the couple didnt have to rush anything. Awesome.bride reading letter from groom on wedding day

Brandons gift to Michelle was probably the sweetest thing Ive ever heard. He included Christmas ornaments to put on their first Christmas tree, the two that stink out to me are the ballet slipper and a grandfathers clock. The slipper because “she keeps him on his toes” and the clock because of the “time they have left on this Earth.” Seriously I was in TEARS.

Brandon is so dapper.

How Michelle arrived to the first look.

One of my favorite photos ever.

Oh and PS: my iphone saved their first dance as the DJ hadnt included their song. Smart phone + youtube ftw!

Can anyone tell me what song this is?Sarah, it was awesome. Thanks for having me along.

Melody and Andrew are such a fun couple and are quite famous in my old town of Pine Level, North Carolina. When I first met them we were stopped at least 3 times by someone they knew1 Now that I have gotten to know them a bit more I know why everyone likes them too. Cause they are awesome and fun. So that’s exactly how their wedding was. They got married at a cute little church in Fremont, NC the Fremont Missionary Baptist Church. Melody really enjoys church architecture and this church was just screaming her name. Black grooms ring

Seriously you two are great. Thanks for being awesome your two.

I have been wanting to share these photos with you since I took them. Unfortunately I needed to move across the country that same week so other things have been in the way of editing. I think they were worth the wait though because I seriously love this couple. Matthew and Ali are back and cuter than ever! We met up on their one month anniversary at Hinnant Family Vineyard in good ole’ Pine Level, North Carolina. It had rained poured on their wedding day so it was a good chance to get all gussied up to take more photos in their wedding attire.

These two are the sweetest folks ever.

Matt and Ali are a terrific couple. I feel like I have got to know them quite well over the past few months. Their wedding was just as fantastic as they are. Though.. I’m not too sure about there friends. I’m a bit concerned that I was the only one willing to even TRY at Thriller besides the newlyweds. The rainy day didn’t even hinder the fun. I think I was more worried about the rain than Ali was. :) The rain decided to stop right before their ceremony at The BelleFont Plantation House started. The Bellefont Plantation House in Washington, NC was an awesome spot to have a wedding (well, other than the road washing out.)  Ali is a very detail oriented lady and this wedding was a perfect reflection of that.

Gee, I am terrible at writing and you’re really here to see the photos aren’t you? Well scroll down already and stop reading this!

The favors were honeypots that were handmade by the bridesmaids and myself. Ali
bought the honeypot jars from fillmorecontainer.com in bulk. The fabric Ali collected from
yard sales and flea markets and the twine was already in my craft box. The honey was
from Morehead City, NC, Matt’s family’s hometown. Two missionaries from his church
head up a honey ministry where troubled adults harvest the honey and all the proceeds
go to international missions. Ali bought labels for the jars from onlinelabels.com for about
3 dollars and took them to FedEx to have our names and date printed on them.

Each place setting had a different plate. Almost. Ali collected over 130 different plates,
from seven different countries, and they had 160 guests.

big branch came down after Hurricane Irene. His dad cut the branch into different
pieces, Matt sanded them, and I painted them with polyurethane. We didn’t want them
completely level and smooth because we wanted to leave them as natural as possible.
